 | | As we all reflect and say 'THANK YOU" for all of the sacrifices that our past and current serving Canadian Forces Members have done in support of freedom for our own country, as well as other countries around the world this week, we encourage everyone to take the time to attend a Remembrance Day Service.
If you are planning on attending the Remembrance Day Service in Russell however, our local scouting group has always been invited to participate in the parade that makes it's way through town in advance of the service at the Russell Legion. If you are attending, we ask that you gather at the Russell Legion no later than 10:15 am, since the parade is planned to start at 10:30 am. Just look for the scout flags. As part of the parade, we will also be asking some of our attending youth to be flag bearers, and as well, at the service we will be asking some youth to go forward to present the individual section wreaths when called upon.
