2016 Scouting Year End Banquet
On May 11, 2016, 2ND RUSSELL SCOUTING held their annual Year-End banquet.
Thank you to the Ventures and their support staff for preparing and serving a delicious spaghetti dinner with cake and ice cream.
Several leaders were recognized for the training they completed as well
as several other awards that were received throughout the scouting year.

Simply go to www.myscouts.ca to re-register and save $25.00 up to the end of June 2016.
From May 2 until to June 30, guarantee your youth's 2016-2017
participation spot by registering at a Group registration fee of
Starting July 1, 2016, the Group registration fee increases to $225.00 for all registrations received.

Scouting Gear Donations
Buying gear/clothing for growing kids can get very expensive. Parents need to buy new shoes, clothes, backpacks almost on a yearly basis to outfit their scouts. For some it's not a big problem but others it's not that easy, this can result in youth leaving scouting just because they feel they can't gear up properly for camping or even buy a new uniform when they outgrow their old one. Our thinking is there is probably a lot of used gear and clothing in our group that can be put to better use instead of sitting in a closet collecting dust.
