2nd Russell Scouting - Group Level Reminders
wanted to reach out to everyone regarding some concerns received
from some of our meeting locations which we require everyone's
assistance in addressing.The first concern is
regarding youth members running through our meeting location hallways
before and after the meeting times as well as accessing unlocked lockers
in hallways.This is unacceptable behaviour and we ask for everyone's
assistance in communicating these concerns to our participants since
continued behaviour may result in us losing the facility all together. The
second concern is more linked to the wetter and cooler weather that we
have experienced and will be experiencing and deals with wet and dirty

Scouting Gear Donations
Buying gear/clothing for growing kids can get very expensive. Parents need to buy new shoes, clothes, backpacks almost on a yearly basis to outfit their scouts. For some it's not a big problem but others it's not that easy, this can result in youth leaving scouting just because they feel they can't gear up properly for camping or even buy a new uniform when they outgrow their old one. Our thinking is there is probably a lot of used gear and clothing in our group that can be put to better use instead of sitting in a closet collecting dust.
